If Northwest PA Schools Acted Like Some DC Area Schools, We Would’ve Had Months of Snow Days Growing Up.

Snow is moving into the DC Region currently, bringing some light accumulations to areas east, south, and west of the city. Western PA will stay mainly dry but cold, although a spotty snow shower is possible along the southern border of PA today. Western PA will see partly sunny skies on Thursday while the DC Region looks at partly cloudy skies. Friday will bring a chance of light snow to western PA while the DC Region continues to see partly cloudy skies. Highs in western PA will reach into the 20s today before mid 20s to low 30s move in on Thursday. Low to mid 20s will settle in on Friday. Lows will drop into the 10s tonight before upper 10s to mid 20s settle in on Thursday night. Friday night will drop lows back into the 10s. The DC Region will see highs in the low 30s today before mid 30s to low 40s settle in on Thursday and Friday. Lows in the mid to upper 20s tonight will bump up into the upper 20s on Thursday night before Friday night brings low to mid 20s into the area. It’s hump day. Get over it! Take care folks!

Good News: Weekend turns quite a bit warmer. Conditions stay relatively dry through the early weekend.

Bad News:  The latter half of next week could see colder risks and below normal temperatures overall as a trough could dig into the region.
