Frost Advisories: Snow Edition: Pittsburgh Region In Line of Fire of Clipper System for Sunday/Monday

Posted on

For this Nor’easter, not too bad of a forecast for my focus regions. Pittsburgh got about an inch or 2 out of this where the DC Region saw anywhere from a trace near the city to maybe a couple inches up into the northern burbs. The place that I under-forecasted for was southeastern PA, where although Philly itself didn’t get too much the suburbs north and west of the city saw a good 4-8″. Could see some snow showers linger across central and eastern PA today before the region prepares for a clipper system Sunday into Monday. Models have been consistently picking on Pittsburgh with snow. DC Region could also pick up a decent amount. The timing of this disturbance will most likely cause delays with potential for school cancellations as well. As always, be safe driving!

Forecast Snowfall Sunday through Tuesday:

  • Erie, PA: Coating-2″
  • Oil City, PA: 1-3″
  • Butler, PA: 2-5″
  • Pittsburgh, PA: 4-8″ in immediate suburbs. 3-6″ dahntahn.
  • Uniontown, PA: 4-8″
  • State College, PA: 2-5″
  • Frederick, MD: 2-5″
  • Germantown, MD: 2-4″
  • Washington, D.C.: 1-3″
