Snow Today. 1-3″ In Most of Western PA. DC Region Sees Snow/Rain With 1-2″ Possible North of the City.

Looks like a bit of a snowy day across the region as a clipper system tracks across the Mid-Atlantic. 1-3″ is possible across much of western PA with an inch or so more possible in the mountains east of Pittsburgh and potentially in NW PA. Pittsburgh itself could see some rain/freezing rain mix in with snow early before changing all over to snow. The DC Region will also see snow as accumulations of an inch or two could occur north of the city. A chance of snow could linger in western PA on Thursday before partly cloudy skies push in on Friday. The DC Region will see dry conditions on Thursday and Friday. Highs will rise into the 30s today across western PA before mid to upper 20s settle in on Thursday. Upper 20s to mid 30s will push in on Friday. Lows in the 20s tonight will drop into the 10s and low 20s on Thursday night before Friday night brings 20s back into the region. A storm system could bring significant snowfall from south of the Pennsylvania Turnpike into the DC Region. I’ll keep an eye on that for you as we get a bit closer to the weekend. Drive safe today! It’s hump day! Get over it!
