Sleeping In/Day Off of Work Edition

Posted on

Well after a dangerous day yesterday for areas near Philly and DC, we’re looking at a break from the action by this afternoon. Another system moves in tomorrow, which will give snow to mostly southern and eastern PA down to the DC Area. Snowfall amounts in the DC Area look to be in the 2-4″ range with higher risks in the suburbs. A chance of freezing rain and sleet is also possible with this system in DC and south. In western PA, a chance of snow will remain for much of the week mainly from lake-effect, but no significant accumulations are expected over the next 3 days except for near the Edinboro/Erie areas. Warmer high temperatures today will drop into the 20s and low 30s for western PA. Lows in the 20s tonight will drop into the teens for tomorrow and Wednesday night. As for DC, highs tomorrow near or just above the freezing mark before mid 30s return Wednesday. Lows near or just below the freezing mark tonight will drop into the 20s tomorrow night and teens by Wednesday night. If you are traveling tomorrow in the south-central PA and eastward/southward, be careful as snow could be heavy by late morning into the mid afternoon. Take care and wish me safe travels back to Maryland today!
