Many Record Low Temperatures Broken That Have Stood for 100+ Years. Chance of Light Snow in Western PA Saturday/Early Sunday. Then Spring Arrives!

Another bitter cold morning for yinz (wind chills in the -10s in western PA) but we are almost through it! The warm up begins this weekend as 30s and 40s move into western PA with potential for 50s in SW PA on Tuesday. The DC Region will see highs in the 50s through all of next week! So get through this painful cold weather as more pleasant conditions are on the horizon. Mostly sunny skies are expected in western PA today before a chance of snow moves in later in the day tomorrow and into Sunday. 1-3″ of snow could fall in NW PA during the weekend. Snow should start to melt next week. Highs in the mid 10s to low 20s today will rise into the low to mid 30s on Saturday and Sunday. Lows in the 10s tonight will rise into the mid 20s to low 30s Saturday night before 20s move in Sunday night. The DC Region will stay dry all weekend as mostly sunny skies today will give way to partly cloudy skies during the weekend. Highs in the mid to upper 20s today will rise into the low to mid 40s on Saturday before upper 40s to low 50s push in on Sunday. Lows in the 10s tonight will bump up into the low to mid 30s on Saturday night and Sunday night. Hope you all stay warm and have a great weekend! The thaw out is soon!
