Well we’ve finally made it to the other side of the wet weather as dry conditions settle into the region over the next couple days. Wet weather will return by Sunday as next week cools down quite a bit by the mid week. Highs in the 80s will span western PA for the weekend while the DC Region sees 80s and low 90s. The middle of next week will bring in cooler weather with highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s for western PA. DC should hold in the 80s with lows in the 60s. Have a fantastic weekend. EF1 Tornado Confirmed in Mercer County, PA

After an unsettled past couple of days, conditions will start to settle down over the next few days. An EF1 Tornado was confirmed between Hermitage and Mercer in Mercer County, PA as roofs were torn off of houses and numerous trees were knocked down. Straight-line winds also occurred. Showers and storms could linger in western PA today before conditions dry out the next couple. DC will continue to see a risk of wet weather over the next couple days before drying out into the early weekend. Highs will cool down to near normal for this time of year overall in the 70s and 80s across the region. It’s hump day! Get over it! Take care!

Severe Threat Continues in PA

Stormy conditions will continue after a storm-filled start to the work week yesterday in western PA. Severe thunderstorms are possible in PA again as damaging winds and heavy downpours remain the biggest threat. Isolated tornadoes are also possible in PA across the north. A chance of wet weather will move into the DC Region today as well. The threat of wet weather will persist through the middle of the week before conditions try to dry out into the second half of the week. Highs in the 70s and low 80s will occur in western PA over the next 3 days. DC will see 90s today and tomorrow before 80s settle in on Thursday. Severe Weather Potential in PA

After a beautiful majority of the weekend in both western PA and the DC Region, conditions will start to moisten up through the middle of the week. A chance of showers and thunderstorms will move into western PA today before expanding south and eastward into the DC Region on Tuesday. The threat of showers and storms will continue through the middle of the week for the region before conditions dry out through the late work week. Severe weather is possible today and tomorrow in western PA as straight-line winds, heavy downpours, and small hail are the main risks. Highs in the  low to mid 80s for western PA will drop into the 70s/Low 80s the next couple of days. DC will see 90s the next couple of days before dipping into the 80s by mid week.
